La Fondazione ha per scopo il restauro e la messa in atto di tutte le azioni necessarie per la gestione di un piano di manutenzione programmato per la preservazione del patrimonio storico-artistico e paesaggistico della Chiesa di San Romerio e dei suoi dintorni. La raccolta di fondi diretta o attraverso azioni specifiche presso altre fondazioni, privati, enti pubblici in ambito svizzero, italiano, europeo e internazionale in genere al fine di perseguire il restauro e le azioni di manutenzione e valorizzazione della Chiesa di San Romerio e dei suoi dintorni. Il programma di manutenzione di cui al precedente capoverso e relativi aggiornamenti, verranno preliminarmente approvati dalla Giunta del Comune di Tirano, ente proprietario. La divulgazione del patrimonio storico-artistico e paesaggistico di San Romerio presso le comunità locali della Valposchiavo e di Tirano intendendo la conoscenza come prima azione di tutela del patrimonio d'arte e valido strumento per far crescere il valore di appartenenza del patrimonio presso le due comunità locali svizzera e italiana. La Fondazione può esercitare e mettere in atto ogni attività idonea e funzionale al raggiungimento degli scopi statutari. Riserva di modifica dello scopo a norma di statuto (art. 86a CCS).
